Climate Change Challenge WebQuests

To engage young people in taking the #ClimateChangeChallenge, we have developed a range of 24 WebQuest challenges that provide authentic and engaging learning activities for young people to complete in teams, and to find innovative solutions to climate change issues under each of the following topics:

  1. Bruised Not Broken - addressing consumer habits where items become aesthetically damaged and despite the fact that they still work are often needlessly discarded.
  2. Low Plastic Diet - challenging young people to research their food shopping habits to identify how they could reduce the level of non-recyclable packaging that they buy every day.
  3. Taking The Upcycling Challenge - presenting a number of different scenarios that demand innovative upcycling solutions.
  4. Ethical Fashion Shopping - addressing consumer shopping habits and encourage young people to identify the environmental and ethical issues related to online and offline shopping.
  5. Sustainable Plate - challenging young people to devise a menu or menus that contain only sustainable foods from a variety of different environmental perspectives.
  6. EnviroHacks - challenging young people to come up with their own environmentally friendly gimmick that could reduce their carbon footprint.

These WebQuest resources have been tested with young people from all partner countries at the transnational training event that was hosted by JKPeV in Dresden in April 2022.
